merida1Back in november I traveled with my classmates to Mérida. It was a nice change of scenery even for just a few short days, but I had a blast between our exhausting days and crazy nights.
We visited Celestun, “a natural paradise” in the words of our guide. We rode boats in the lagoon and were supposed to see flamingos but they were like miles away from us and our boat got stuck when we tried to get closer. Then we spotted some alligators and it was… Well, let me put it like this: You’re in a boat with the boys (5 of them), now picture one of them trying to get a closer look from the edge of the boat and the rest of them joking around and trying to make him fall. Yeah, nerve-wracking and funny all at the same time!! Once we were done there we went back to the hotel and partied all night!merida4The next day we went to Chichen Itzá after having breakfast and trying to get the girls to wake up from their hangover. When we got there it was raining! We were all dying on the inside (not from the rain), but I did enjoyed the view and walk. After that we went to this cenote. I was so excited that I didn’t mind it was raining and still jumped in. I’m an adventurer at heart!! By the end of the day we pulled over in Valladolid to stretch and buy some food before we headed back to the hotel. Back in the hotel some of us partied, went back to the hotel, got scared in our room and went back to partying before thinking about going back into our room. It was so fun!!merida3merida2Finally, the last day we had conferences in the morning, a lunch break and a tour around town in a picturesque bus at night. It wasn’t really interesting, but I had so much fun!
There aren’t a lot of pictures from the trip because I was kind of busy making memories with my friends (or it was raining) but I’m glad I captured some of those moments 🙂

I hadn’t shared the pictures because I thought they were lost, but now they’re found.

P A R T Y !

partyyso last friday night my sister and i went to the re-opening party of the lobby bar at the w hotel, needless to say, it was FUN! open bar, amazing people, old friends and beth ditto from gossip?! yes, that’s right friends, the one and only beth ditto. she was the night’s surprise and she’s amazingly kind.
the dress code was be fabulous, so i thought it was the perfect time to take out my new clutch (pictured  above). i’m not really a party hard kind of girl, but that one goes for the records!!

Last month’s recap

IMG_6044 IMG_6033 IMG_6021 IMG_6025 IMG_6030i worked on a summer camp last month and it was amazing! i got to work with children from 7-8 years and they are pretty interesting. i met lots of new people, made new friends, saw old friends and of course had a blast with all of them! i had never had such a fun summer until now. i loved everything from week one to week four with all the costume contests, our amazing pool party, camp night, sports tournaments, group photos, visits to six flags and kidzania (i hated the circus!! too sad), some of the kids’ birthdays, tuesdays after work meetings… so many memories built.
i didn’t get to snap many pictures or even get my phone out of my pocket in the past month, but these are some pictures from the last day. i would totally do it all over again!!

Best friends

the other day i was thinking about my beautiful friends and how things have changed since we graduated six months ago… some break ups, birthdays, memories… time goes by so quickly! anyway, i remembered prom. my sweet friend cynthia arrived first, then i arrived and finally my dear friend karina. we greeted each other and i stopped looked at them an said oh my god! you girls are wearing the same necklace and i am wearing the matching earringsyes us ridiculous best friends were wearing matching jewelry from swarovski to prom! and then i thought well of course, we are friends!! i seriously love these girls, they are my life and i’ve known them for a long time. i hope this friendship lasts forever! they are my life and rock!
i am so thankful for you girls i love you oh so much!!
this last picture is the only one we have all four of us plus one of our dearest friends! (sigh) and they are all cell phone pictures, sorry for the low quality!

Work work work

tough days!! two perfect words to describe these two days! on friday morning i got to hang with my guy and he decided to take me on a ride on his bike. most of the time i say no, but well, it was a short ride to the store. those were the funniest 3 minutes ever!! he made my morning better!
a friend contacted me on monday asking me to take him some photos, i agreed and so my sister and i went yesterday to a party. well, i better say nothing but i’m sure the photos we shot are going to lie for me! they look awesome and we are getting paid, so i may consider it as my first unofficial job!
here’s a peek of yesterday’s photos:

on the other hand,  today was completely different. wriel asked us to take him and his friends some pictures, we are no pros at all, but we do our best! we headed to a skate park and met him and his friends over there. a lot of skaters… such a great day! i’m pretty sure i shot like 200 photos in two hours or maybe even more! on monday we are finishing our job and getting paid!!
here’s a peek of today’s sesh:

i’m going straight to bed right now! i am so tired and tomorrow is biking day with my dad up in the mountains! hope i won’t die up there! night night!!

Got me thinking

tomorrow i’m presenting a college exam again! it got me thinking about so many things like what do i want to do with my life? i already have a school, why doing this exam? does it makes me happy? am i doing it because i like it or just for pleasing my parents? so many questions right? well i answered all of them and realized that wasn’t what i wanted. i’m just pleasing my parents…
i’m graduating in two weeks from today! i can’t believe how time goes by, i remember my first year in high school, all the people i’ve got to meet along the way, the ones that have been there for me, the ones that are gone and the ones that remain. every moment was so special for me.
if i had to choose a year i liked the most i’d say my last year! i got to share my days with some incredible guys that most of the time frustrated me, but they made me laugh, they showed me so many things and i am so thankful that they showed up in my life!! lately we’ve been so close since we’re in finals season, which is almost over!! but we’ve been helping each other.
in two months we’ll be taking different ways. one of my dearest friends will be moving to miami, my boyfriend may or may not be moving to los angeles (i’m dying), i’ll have even less time to see them. but i think sometimes changes are just what we need! and i’m pretty sure every time we see each other will be perfect! (i’m not just talking about my boyfriend, also my friends!)

i have a feeling that amazing things are coming! i started my blog last september and didn’t post much until i was going through a tough moment in my life. i found this blog as a way to express myself and i appreciate you take the time to read it. i am excited about sharing this new chapter of my life with you guys here on the blog. as one chapter ends, another one begins. i am not calling this the official end since i have two weeks left until it’s officially over so this is the beginning of the end of one of the most awesome parts of my life! thanks for reading! i can’t wait to see what life’s got for me!!
